I approached the National Heart Institute and Sir Ganga Ram Hospital and formed partnerships to provide life-saving treatment and support for underprivileged female babies suffering from congenital heart disease (CHD). To finance surgeries, I raised over $37,000 through corporate social responsibility funds and private donations. To date, I completed seven successful surgeries, with many more to come. To maximise the number of surgeries, I negotiated a subsidised fees for each surgery. My extends went beyond financing surgeries; I supported each family throughout the entire treatment process, providing guidance and support needed at every step. To expand Tiny Hearts, I spent time with families at villages and outreach program, understanding their needs and spreading awareness of the high fatality rates of CHD. Furthermore, submitted a petition to India’s Ministry of Child and Family Welfare, verified by pediatric cardiothoracic doctors at Ganga Ram Hospital. The petition highlighted financial barriers and gender bias in CHD treatment, proposing policy solutions to bridge these gaps. Our outreach efforts gained recognition from local news media, amplifying the impact and reach of Tiny Hearts.
